Shine Rebranding
In early 2023, Shine entered a new era as the brand evolves to match the new strategic core to address small and medium size businesses. We worked alongside french branding agency Social Club to build a strong, mature and yet colorful visual identity.
Role : Brand Design & Illustration — 2022 - 2023
Art Direction : Social Club, Caroline Fourier
A new illustration Design system
As the identity mature, the color palette and the font choices being more assertive to give a trusty look that matches businesses expectations — we needed to counter-balance with warm illustrations that can highlight banking features, payment limitation and transactions and still feel like your experience with Shine is unlike any other business bank. An experience that could be defined as poetic, colorful, and could express serenity & joy.
We created 40+ of these illustrations and built a Figma library for an easy product design workflow.
Tools : Procreate, Illustrator
We built special illustration as hero asset for key landing pages, bigger and richer in details.
En-Off Podcast
We even created a podcast called En-Off, about entrepreneurs mental health. Focusing on failures, success and personal life balance through 7 guests stories such as Ludovic Dujardin (Petit Bambou founder) or Charlotte Cadé (Selency founder).
The idea behind this illustration is to let go whats negative and being mentally in a happy place.
Design process
All these illustrations were first drawn in Procreate with a few textures to visualize the highlight and the shadows. For each one, I made several versions and options so we can chose a better fit for the matter, the feature or the screen we were working on.
Then the next step is cleaning, refining edges and smoothing strokes before adding colors.
Team swag
Following the public release of the new identity, we took the opportunity to make embroidered patches and stickers for everyone working at Shine so they can proudly wear our new colors.
